Using Punches to Create A Layout | Erica Thompson

I am super excited to be sharing my first layout as a Hip Kit Design Team member! First a little bit about me before we get to my layout! I am a mama to 6 babies and 2 fur babies. I have been creating and documenting every since I was in middle school and I absolutely love it! You can find me on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube!

Today I am using the beautiful October 2019 kits and creating a layout using punches! I know I have a drawer full of punches that do not get used as much as they should!

I pulled out my 1 inch circle punch and punched a bunch of patterns from the October kit. I ran some of the circles through my sewing machine to add some texture. I added some ink splatters to my white background and then arranged my circles on the page. I did pop some of them up using foam adhesive.

I printed my photo in black and white and popped it up on the layout. I pulled out the exclusive chipboard, ephemera and cardstock stickers and started to embellish around my page.

I created floral clusters on each side of my photo using the chipboard and exclusive die cuts. For my title I used one of the exclusive chipboard pieces from the October Embellishment kit. There are so many ways to use a simple circle punch! I love that I can add so many different patterns to the page just by using the circle punch! Here is a look at my completed layout using the October 2019 kit!

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today! I hope you found some inspiration here today and that you will pull out some punches on your next project!
