I believe that dreams are important in life. I am a child at heart. I love to dream and fantasize about the what-ifs, it’s a nice place to visit. However, it’s important to stick to what makes us happy as we are awake. Professor Dumbledore has a similar opinion, he says “it doesn’t do to dwell in dreams and forget to live.” I guess he’s right. But a little dream here and then doesn’t hurt. Perhaps you can even catch one of them? Enough pseudo-philosophy, let’s get back to the layout!
This layout is my first layout using the gorgeous January 2017 Hip Kits. They’re full of soft and dreamy colors. I love the enchanted atmosphere that comes with the Moonstruck bits and pieces by Pink Paislee – one of my all-time favorite collection that has been released during the last year. Perhaps it was due to that that I couldn’t help but quote Harry Potter?

I am fairly new to designing cut-files, that’s why I am very proud to say that I managed to create a dream catcher. As you can see I colored in the dream catcher. I used alcohol markers for that, then stitched around the edge of the dream catcher and the heart behind it.
I love feathers. I really do. Perhaps you can tell that the ephemera ones are lighter – that’s because I painted over them with a white Gelato in order to get an even better dreamy effect.
I wanted to bring more attention to my title – I know that I always choose the easy way when it comes to titles; I mainly use pre-written Thickers. However, I also cherish a nice mix and a message, even though I don’t always stick to wanting to do that. Look at the gorgeous wood veneers – they’re HKC exclusive! So is the “HAPPY” ephemera. And those golden Thickers…they have a realistic chance of becoming my January Hip Kit Club favorite product of the month.
