Want to create layouts like this? Our monthly kits include coordinated papers, embellishments, and supplies to bring your scrapbook pages to life.
Hey there, friends! I am so excited to share this stunning scrapbook layout from the incredibly talented Jana Eubank using our March 2026 Hip Kits – the Live Life and Dance It Out collection. Jana took the adorable Camera Metal Die (this month’s must-have add-on!) and turned it into a whole grid of colorful little cameras that honestly just makes your heart sing. She used five gorgeous colors from the March 2026 Cardstock Kit – 80s Denim, Azure Ocean, Luxury Lilac, Sequin Pink, and Sunlight Yellow – plus black from her stash, and the result is like a rainbow of tiny vintage cameras that are almost too cute to handle.
What I really love about this layout is how Jana paired all that color and energy with a single black and white photo of her and her husband at Disneyland – it is such a clever design choice that lets the cameras be the star while the photo stays timeless and sweet.
She also brought in the Lindy Stamp Gang Unstoppable Aqua Shimmer Magical Shaker from the March 2026 Color Kit to add sparkle to the background, used the rainbow ombre paper from the March 2026 Paper Kit as a mat, and finished everything off with floral die cuts, glitter foam mini stickers, and the cutest little heart stickers from the March 2026 Embellishment Kit tucked into the camera lenses.
This layout is packed with fun details and I cannot wait to walk you through how Jana put it all together!
Step-by-Step Camera Grid Layout Tutorial
Step 1: Die Cut Cameras in Multiple Colors
▶ Watch
Start by die cutting the camera shape from six different cardstock colors using the March 2026 Camera Metal Die. Jana used 80s Denim, Azure Ocean, Luxury Lilac, Sequin Pink, and Sunlight Yellow from the March 2026 Cardstock Kit, plus black from her stash. As you cut each camera, save all the tiny inside pieces – the buttons, lens, and eyepiece – in a tray off to the side so you can find them easily when it is time to mix and match the colors.
Step 2: Assemble the Cameras on Vellum with Mixed Colors
▶ Watch
Adhere each camera onto a piece of vellum so the lens and eyepiece areas get a nice cloudy effect showing through. Then swap all the small detail pieces between colors so every camera has a fun, unique color combination. Take your time with this step – it is a bit of a process peeling and placing all those little bits, but the payoff is so worth it when you see all those colorful cameras lined up together.
Step 3: Add Shimmer to the Background
▶ Watch
Grab the Lindy Stamp Gang Unstoppable Aqua Shimmer Magical Shaker from the March 2026 Color Kit. Put a little powder into a small well, mix it with water, and then sprinkle it across your Storm Gray cardstock background. Jana used the grid side of the cardstock from the Cardstock Kit as her background, which gives the layout a built-in structure that is perfect for lining up all those cameras.
Step 4: Mat the Background onto Rainbow Ombre Paper
▶ Watch
Trim a half inch off each edge of your shimmer-sprayed background piece. Then mat it onto the rainbow ombre paper from the March 2026 Paper Kit – this gives you a gorgeous colorful border peeking out from behind the grid. Jana also distressed the edges of her background with an edge distresser and added machine stitching for extra texture. Pro tip from Jana: gut the center of your patterned papers and save those scraps for matting photos later.
Step 5: Arrange the Camera Grid and Add Your Photo
▶ Watch
Lay out all your assembled cameras in rows across the grid background. Once you are happy with the arrangement, decide on your photo placement. Jana originally planned multiple photos but loved the busy, colorful background so much that she switched to a single black and white photo cut with the Hoop and Stitch Plate die from a previous Hip Kit Club release. This circular frame adds a beautiful contrasting shape to all those square cameras.
Step 6: Frame the Photo with Floral Die Cuts
▶ Watch
Arrange floral die cut pieces from the March 2026 Embellishment Kit around your photo to create a soft frame. Jana used mostly pink and yellow flowers with a touch of blue to echo the camera colors. She adhered everything with 1mm foam squares for gentle dimension without too much bulk. If a die cut flower feels too large for a spot, try fussy cutting a smaller one from the floral patterned paper in the Paper Kit and tuck in a few extra leaves to fill any gaps perfectly.
Step 7: Add Titles and Word Stickers
▶ Watch
Place the “favorite and best” phrase from the Icon Die Cuts in the March 2026 Embellishment Kit along the bottom of your photo. Pair it with the colorful “happy” word sticker – use a powder tool on the back to remove the tackiness first, then pop it up on foam squares. For your main title, use the glitter foam mini stickers in the minty green color to spell out your words on a label. These stickers come in two colors so you can mix and match or keep it clean with just one shade.
Step 8: Finish with Heart Sticker Details
▶ Watch
For the sweetest final touch, grab the little heart stickers scattered throughout the cardstock sticker pages of the March 2026 Embellishment Kit and place them right on the lenses of your cameras. Mix in some black and white mini heart stickers from the puffy shape stickers for variety. Sprinkle a few more hearts near your photo to tie everything together. These tiny details add so much personality and give the whole layout a playful, love-filled finish.
