It’s Maartje here today with a new spread in my Travelers Notebook.
I’m using the December 2021 Hip Kits and my assignment today is to create an interactive element.

On New Years eve, Bo and me went outside at midnight to celebrate the new year.
We had sparklers and did a real countdown. Bo loved it. Especially the fact that she got to stay up so late, being only 5 years old. She went to bed saying she was sooooo sleepy.
What Bo doesn’t know, is that the clock magically hit midnight around 8 pm 😉
At (the real) midnight I snapped a photo of Bodine being fast asleep in my bed.
The fireworks didn’t even wake her up.
I thought it was the perfect photo to hide behind a beautiful cluster.
I’ve added some ephemera and a brad from my stash in order to reveal the hidden photo.
On the right side of the spread I created a cluster using the snow globe metal die set.Â
The big circle is a great layer to build your cluster on.
I’ve added some floral ephemera and the puffy stickers that look like fireworks.
I’ve used design paper for the background, and added machine stitching for some texture.
A Travelers Notebook is not that big. So I do like to create little interactive elements to create more space.
One day, Bo will be old enough to read the journaling.
Let’s see if she thinks I’m funny….
