WEEKLY CHALLENGE FRIDAY | BRIANNA LEPPER | DECEMBER 2021 HIP KITS

Hey friends!  Brianna Lepper here today with a fun layout for the new Weekly Challenge and this week, it’s a Recipe Challenge!  You must use the following three items:  rosettes, snowflakes and tabs.  I LOVE to make rosettes, so I was super excited for this challenge!  Using the December 2021 Hip Kits, here’s my layout:

There are so many gorgeous exclusive patterned papers in the December Kits and I couldn’t wait to see them made into rosettes!  To create them in different sizes, I trimmed down a few of the papers to 1×12″, 1.5×12″, 1.75×12″ and 2×12″ inch strips.  I made sure to cut two of each so that I would have the desired length to make a full rosette.  I find that using a hot gun to assemble each rosette is ideal.  I’ve tried double sided tape and liquid adhesive and it’s just not strong enough for mine.  If you’re new to making rosettes, there are several tutorials up on YouTube that you can watch for tips!

Once all my rosettes were finished, I arranged them on a piece of textured white cardstock.  I adhered them all down and started embellishing right on top of each one.  I pulled chipboard stickers and some floral ephemera pieces from the Embellishment Kit and I even used the chipboard frames from the Main Kit as foundations for embellishment clusters.

I pulled in the exclusive tabs from the Embellishment Kit and layered one on my photo and a few in the rosette clusters.

There are so many snowflake elements in all of the kits so it was fun to tuck and layer different ones all over my page.

For my title, I used a phrase from the puffy stickers found in the Main Kit.

Here’s one more up close shot of this wintery layout!  I love all of the texture and dimension.

Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope that I’ve inspired you in some way!  Make sure to play along with this weeks Recipe Challenge using snowflakes, tabs and rosettes!  There’s a $10 gift certificate up for grabs and remember, you have to be in it, to win it!  I can’t wait to see what you make!  See you in my next post friends.
