Happy New Year Hip Kit friends! Carol here with a cute winter village!

For this layout I was very inspired by the paper with those cute houses, from December kit. When I saw it I knew I would make a winter village! And to go with that I chose several pictures from our first time seeing snow!

 

 

To do that I fussy cut several houses from the paper and used a lot of volume between them. For the forest on the back  I used the trees from the embellishment package from both  the main kit and embellishment kit.  The gorgeous flowers on the bottom are also from the embellishment kit.

In this picture you can see all the elements from the color kit: at the bottom I used the “Big Chill” stencil and the Glacier Paste. That was a nice surprise! I was very impressed with the result! First, the stencil matched perfectly to have a full seamless 12″ strap. Second, the white glittery paste became a gorgeous SILVER “foil”. I was not expecting it! I used the emboss heater to make the drying process faster and I wonder if it would look the same if I just let it air dry. I also used the Sparkle Spray to create the fog behind the village, and I used the Glitter Drops for the snow details on the trees.

 

On the bottom left I used the snow globe with the little house from the main kit and the cute penguin from the Puffy Shape Stickers that came with the PL kit.

 

 

Now, to add all the pictures I wanted, I created a waterfall using the papers from the paper kit,  the tabs from the embellishment kit, and some flowers and snowflakes ephemeras from both main and embellishment kit. When the pics are closed it creates a nice cluster around the main picture.

The cute fabric bow that is used to make the pictures “glide” is from November embellishment kit. It’s amazing how much different month kits matches the others!

 

 

Here are some close ups on the tabs, some Blush Burst ink splatter,  and the drops on the tree.

 

 

It’s so cool to make the bow glide and the flaps open !  I layered my waterfall on one card from the Pl kit, to make some contrast on the white background.

 

 

Finally I made a cluster using one tag from the PL kit,  another tag using  the tag dies and paper from the main kit, the Puffy Shape Stickers Snowman from the PL kit,  and the Chipboard Shape Stickers snow globe and title from the embellishment kit.
