Hello paperlovers,
Welcome to the HKC blog today! It’s Josefine here with a new scrapbook layout for cutfile Tuesday…
For this scrapbook layout I used the snowflake frames. These frames are from the HKC December 2021 cut files. I cut the snowflake frames out of the dark blue design paper from the main kit. https://www.hipkitclub.net/december-2021-main-kit I backed the center of the cutfile with vellum for a winter look.
I cut the cutfile out twice and used three snowflake frames on my layout. For the mixed media background I used the Shimmerz paints from the December 2020 color kit.The color I used is called “Oakie Bear Blue” I used a piece of plastic to apply the paint several times on the white cardstock and make a big blue splash. I make several blue splatters on the same blue background with the shimmerz paint. I love the splatter effect.
I draw a circle in the center and stitch it with gold thread and used my sewing machine. I put the snowflake frames cutfiles in place. I cut out the photo of my daughter on a cold winter day into a circle. I cut two more circles from the design paper and placed them behind the photo and stitched the edges with gold thread. I placed the photo on top of the snowflake frames cutfiles. I make a cluster on both sides of the photo with the beautiful die-cuts from this wonderful winter kit. I place two chipboard frames wrapped with pink thread behind the photo. I love how that looks.I punched the white elegant snowflakes from white cardstock. These snowflakes are from the beautiful December 2021 ” Snow Globe Die kit” set https://www.hipkitclub.net/december-2021-snow-globe-die-kit I created the two 3D elements with a round 1-inch punch. I mix white gesso with water and splash with a small round brush. The white gesso splatters give my layout a real winter look.
The title for this layout is called ” Cold winter days” I used two different alpha sets. These sets are from the HKC main and HKC pocket page kits. Love these beautiful fonts. I hope I was able to inspire you with this winter layout and I want to thank you for visiting the HKC blog today and hope to see you next time with a new project.
I wish you a lovely and creative day friends!
XoXo,
Jo
