Hi there friends. I am loving the versatility of the May kits. There are the prettiest of papers and embellishments paired with gorgeous travel goodies. I have scrapped a photo from a trip to New York last year and the kit is totally perfect with it’s bright colours and accessories.
I started with white cardstock and used Broken China Distress Oxide ink to blend the world map stencil. I then used Squeezed Lemonade and a sunburst stencil for a bit more interest. Outlining the stencilled background with a grey fineliner, gives the sunburst delicate definition.
The gorgeous rainbow washi tape in the main kit is a perfect placeholder for my photos and embellishments. I added a little black stencilled element and splahses of orange paint for a bit of drama.
The Vicki Boutin Let’s Wander die-cuts are brilliant for your travel elements. I adore the paper plane and titles inside. I made my own paper plane which I layered onto the globe die cut.
I matted the photos onto various papers from the main kit and tag from the cut apart sheet. To create the journal spot at the bottom of the layout, I dipped a lid from a jar into orange paint to create the coffee stain. I then drew around the same lid in black pen and added ‘stitching’ doodles.
To finish off, I layered Amy Tangerine Thicker stickers from the Pocket Life kit. These are awesome – bright useful phrases and designs and some have glitter for added sparkle. The perfect finishing touch.
I hope I have inspired you to use your May kit. I can’t wait to see what you create – don’t forget to them with us on on our Facebook group.
Thanks for stopping by.
