Hi Friends! I’m back with a new layout featuring the May 2020 Hip Kits and an exclusive Cut File designed by Kim Watson. I had so much fun creating this project. I wanted to incorporate more than one or two pictures as well as making sure I had enough space to write my journaling. I am not a big journaler but I felt I needed to tell my story and remember the wonderful day I spent with the family going on a photo safari and a hike up in the mountains after so long.

 

 

This layout can be broken down into sections. It is busy I know, but that is exactly what I wanted. I used white cardstock for my background. On the left side, I have the Let’s Walk May exclusive cut file designed by Kim Watson. I cut it quite big and backed it with the Bazzill – Admiral Cardstock from the Cardstock Kit. I placed it on top of a mixed media background that came together by mixing some of the Art Philosophy concentrated watercolor from the April 2020 Color Kit and the Golden Sleigh Bells Lindy’s Magical powder.

 

It is no secret I am loving my stencils these days so I went ahead and mixed two of the Art Alchemy acrylic paint from last year’s color kit with some texture paste to add more dimension to the background. I added a couple of embellishments from the Sweet Story collection from last month and from the Vicki Bouting Ephemera Pack we got in the May Main Kit.

 

 

The middle section shows a photo strip from our photo safari and hike from last week. There is a story behind each photo and I felt I had to include them all. I used adhesive foam to the back of the photo strip to add dimension.

 

 

I used the Stamp Market cut apart sheet from the Paper Kit to create my journaling spots on the right section of the layout and the signs are from their ephemera pack included in the May Pocket Life Kit. I machine stitched the edges of each journaling spot to add interest and added a couple of embellishments from the Amy Tangerine chipboard stickers and the Dear Lizzy stickers from the Embellishment Kit.
