Hello Hip Kit Club friends, and welcome! It’s Jung here today, and I’m sharing a spread in my Memory Planner. Even though it’s a week in November, I created a Christmas spread. Every year, we take our daughters to see Santa sometime in the week of Thanksgiving. We do this for a few reasons: the girls have some days off from school, there is no line to see Santa, and we like to beat the December mall crowds. I thought it would be fun to document the reason for our tradition, and to show pictures of each of my 3 girls’ first trip to see Santa.
I found myself using a lot of exclusive products from the November 2017 Main Kit, Embellishment Kit, Project Life Kit, and December Documented Kit.
I started my spread by laying out the most important parts: the pictures, the title, and the journaling. I backed the 3 pictures with pattern paper, and layed them out where I wanted them to go. Then I worked on the title; I fussy cut “November” from one of the Project Life cards, and I love the exclusive gold alpha! Next, I drew out a few lines, and added my journaling.
Once all the important pieces were in place, I filled some of the empty spots with embellishments. One of my favorite parts of the spread are the ornaments that I fussy cut from an exclusive 8×8 paper in the December Documented kit. I added 3 ornaments on each side of the spread.
I finished off my spread with some machine stitching and gold ink splatters.
I absolutely love how this turned out! I love having all the pictures of my girls’ first Santa visit on one spread. (I love this story so much, that I may have to do a layout and/or document it in my December Documented album as well!)
I hope I have inspired you to get crafty! I highly recommend you check out these kits if you haven’t yet!
Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!
