Pastel projects with dramatic black and white photos/ Felicity

Hello lovely creativity HKC friends! Its Felicity here.  I’m so excited to sharing my page today. I have used the Hip Kit October kit and absolutely love all the pastel tones with a little blue.

Now, I hope your sitting down and no its not a blue moon, Tee hee, but… I have not used white cardstock as my background. I know right! This page is one of my favorites!

So besides that difference, I really wanted to also use the big chipboard words that came in the kit. Now lets be honest, I did start with this page laid out on white cardstock, but then as I was ‘dreaming’ of what to do with the background, shuffling papers, as you do… I came across the pink fresh studio paper and it just matched so perfectly.

Once I then ‘transferred’ everything over to that background paper, it looked, what I think is described as magical! It just all fitted and fell into place.  I loved adding in lots of embellishments from the ephemera pack, finished off with fussy cut flowers.

Also wanted to share with you a project life page using the October Project life kit. This kit just calls for lots of black and white photos and its a breath of fresh air in my album. It just breaks up the colour through the page.

There is also something dramatic about black and white photos isn’t there.  I love documenting photos of my little girl on a daily basis because somethings cant be sent or felt in words uh!

That is the beauty of project life isnt it. The photos and sentiments do the talking.

I really love the big chipboard words in the embellishment kit, that I decided to use it on its own in teh 4 x 6 sleeve and then I embellished on the plastic with the puffy stickers. It adds some nice demision to the project life page.

With project life its not always about the photos, but the journaling too. Thats what I wanted to do was doucment those things that photos cant tell the story in.

Layering and clustering embellishments is another great way to tell your story. Not to mention mixing up the alphas too! How cute are those gold dipped wooden alphas.

Tip:Also dont forget to document the age of the photos.

I hope these projects inspire you today to be creativity and document those memories for years to come!
