Hey everyone! It’s Jessica here with you today, sharing a layout with you using my Pinkfresh Studio embellishments and papers. It was my assignment for today. Here’s what I came up with:
I fell in love with the star constellation background, and I knew I really wanted to use it, I just didn’t know when and How. I really like the color scheme! I’m not much of a blue and yellow combination user, but this time I’m really enjoying it! Pinkfresh always comes up with modern designs and fresh colors, I should grab them a lot more often. Do you use blue and yellow a lot?
There are some elements that I considered to be very special in terms of occasions. Okay, to put it bluntly, I thought I wouldn’t use one or the other element; I’m sure you know what I’m talking about. For instance, I thought I would never use the die cut of these three houses – but to me, a house stands for home. That’s why it’s really nice to use embellishments like that when it comes to telling family stories or just giving the atmosphere of a cozy, warm home. I used an exclusive Project Life card behind my picture to pick up on the fun pink splatters. That way the splatters spread a lot more throughout the page for the eye.
Another element I thought I wouldn’t use was the cute fox. I love foxes – they’re adorable. But when would I ever use a fox on a layout? Well, here it worked. 🙂
Those triangles. Another element I thought I wouldn’t use. And the stars! I love them, but I really wanted to put them into spotlight. I think they work so well here. And ooooh! The Bella puffy stickers! Yikes, so stinking cute!
Did you see the clip or did you not? hah! I like sublte details. I would love to see where you used the clips! They’re so cute.
Did you see that I also used a non-white background? It’s patterned paper! I never ever do that, but Pinkfresh made it possible, hah! It really gives just that little bit of extra that my layout needed to be on point, at least in my humble opinion.
That’s it from me today! I hope you’ve had some fun with your June kits by now!
xox, Jessy
Wonderful work!
