Thursday Inspiration: A Few of Our Favourite Things!

Hey everyone! We hope you’re all having a wonderful week so far! Today, we have 3 takes on the things we loved the most that came in our kits for March and April.

Cara: Patterned Papers

I’m a scrapbooker as well as a planner girl. Patterned paper is always my favourite when I scrapbook, there are so many possibilities! I thought that I would bring that over to my planner. I absolutely adore fussy cutting, give me a good movie and some sharp scissors and I’m a happy camper.

20-spread

I grabbed a couple of my favourite papers, (from Dear Lizzy for American Crafts), in my March main kit, and cut out words and flowers to make clusters in my spread for this week.

20-dreamer

I took a few more papers from Shimelle (American Crafts) and Paige Evans (Pink Paislee) and added squares and the word ‘PLAY’ about the pages. A few die cuts from Paige Evans (March Main Kit) and Dear Lizzy (March Project life kit) and some enamel dots (March Main Kit) were all I needed to finish off the spread.

20-love

The planner clip was made from the same Dear Lizzy paper as ‘dreamer’ and ‘love’. I made it so that it can be moved along the page to mark the current day.

When I made it, I realised that if I was fussy cutting, it would be smart to cut a second piece at the same time so that I would have a matching piece for the back to cover the paperclip. To keep them from moving around, I used a binder clip and moved it only at the end when the only side I had left to cut was the one under the clip.

Happy Planning!

Jessica: All The Florals!

Hey guys! I wondered what I go for most when I scrap and undoubtedly it’s pink as a color, mixed media for the technique, and flowers for the patterns/embellishment. The April kit really has some lovely chipboard flowers to scrap with. Little spoiler: I was assigned a no-flower task later, I know exactly why that happened (lol). Anyway, here’s the layout I’m going to share with you today:

Unbenannt

I used my floral lace cut file that you can find in the march downloads; I changed it up a little to how I liked it better and then cut it with my Silhouette Cameo.

To color in the cut file I used my new Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolor palette which I love! The colors are so vibrant and pretty. So yes, the good life for me definitely consists of pink, watercolors and flowers! What about you?

Thanks for joining me and check out what Ashley came up with!

Ashley: Pink Fresh Acetate

For my project, I’ve created a Project Life spread for you all with a focus on one of my favorite products from the kit (the Pinkfresh Acetate).

I started by cutting some of the patterned papers down to size to fit in my pockets. I also used one of the HKC Exclusive PL cards from our Project Life Kit.

I used some of the alphas from Pinkfresh Studio (Embellishment Kit) and the My Mind’s Eye “Palm Beach” Collection (PL kit).

I lightly embellished with pieces from the “Live More” collection, but also from the “Oh My Heart” collection.

One of my favorite things in this kit is the acetate pieces! I love the colors and the designs. I wanted to keep things simple, therefore, I chose approximately one piece per card, although there are photos without them (they just wouldn’t have shown up great on those particular photos).

On the title card, I sewed the acetate piece for more texture but I also love how subtle this yellow and pink tag is on the bright pink card.

I hope y’all enjoyed this process and gained some inspiration!! 🙂
