Let’s Create a Layout with Past Kits

Hello scrapbooking friends! Anya’s here, and today I wanted to challenge you to use your past kits. Don’t you feel like there’s so much you can do with one kit and then another one comes and we put that one aside. I took that challenge and am excited to share a new scrapbook layout I created using the January HKC kit.

This was one of my favorite kits! I have made several projects with it and will definitely be making more. My starting point for this layout was a patterned paper with wide color stripes. I cut three sections from that paper, added a photo and journaling to each color block, and decorated them with coordinating embellishments.

Want to create layouts like this? Our monthly kits include coordinated papers, embellishments, and supplies to bring your scrapbook pages to life.

One of my favorite things about HKC paper is that there’s always a floral pattern in the set and most of the time you can fussy cut some flowers to use as embellishments. For this layout I cut a few and combined them with other flowers that came with the kit.

Also, wanted to point out one of the things I can’t stop using: the Mini Puffy Alphabets. Here I used them in three different colors to match the paper. These are so cute, perfect size and are available in so many colors!

I hope you were inspired by my project today and will accept my challenge this week to pull out one of the past kits to create a new project with it. Thank you for visiting HCK blog and I hope you will stop by again for more inspiration!
