Let’s DO Some Stitching

Hi friends!
Each month receiving the kits feels like Christmas, but this month… The September kits are amazing! The first thing I do is going through the different papers, and I instantly fell in love with the hello-paper from the September main kit. I cut out all the labels and machine-stitched them with white thread.

I backed the photo of my sweet niece with orange and purple cardstock from the September Cardstock kit.
Then I arranged al the labels on the left side of the photo and glued them all together. It took some patience because the pieces to glue were very small, but I always try to do it that way so I create a complete layout-piece that I can pick up entirely to be able to do some mixed media on the background afterwards.

I used the beautiful September number background stamp with the Saltwater taffy oxide from the previous color kit.

I stitched a circle on the right side of the photo, it not only adds texture and dimension, but it’s also a great base to create a circular title. Since the labels say: Hello my name is… I decided to also use that as a title.

I made a floral cluster with the flowers from the September embellishment kit. I trimmed the white border down a bit.

I finished the whole work off with one of my favs in the kits: the Leaf trio metal die! Oh my, that one is a winner!
