I’ve got the NEW September 2023 Hip Kits in hand and am excited to share with you my first layout for the month! Hi, friends! I’m Jana Eubank. Today I’m sharing a fun way to transform the specialty die-cut Number paper included with the Main Kit. Let’s take a look!
FIRST DAY
This month’s kits have the most beautiful color combination of purple, pink, blue, orange, and lemon yellow. If you know me, you know how much I love color and pattern. I also LOVE the die-cut Number Specialty paper in the Main Kit. I wanted to use this specialty paper on more than one layout, so I decided to cut a circle from the bottom-right corner, framing it with a ring of Mascot Blue cardstock.
I transformed the die-cut Number paper by backing the spaces between the numbers with patterned paper. The smaller scale patterns of the 6×8 Papers in the Pocket Life Kit were PERFECT for this. I also added in the Basketball Orange Cardstock and the ‘Follow Your Heart’ patterned paper (brushstroke pattern) from the Main Kit.
Next, I used the pom-pom trim from the Embellishment Pack (Main Kit) to frame the circle. Love the fuzzy, cute personality the trim adds to this page!
For the title, I die-cut the letters from the Cheer Pink cardstock using the June 2023 Taylor Alpha Die.
I placed my two 3×4 photos on the bottom-right edge of the circle and had fun embellishing all around them with the floral die-cuts, chipboard pieces, puffy stickers, and more!
How CUTE are the stars from the Layered Stitched Dimensional Stickers from the Main Kit?! I accented each one with an epoxy star from the Embellishment Pack (Main Kit) for additional texture.
I used the yellow baker’s twine from the Main Kit Embellishment Pack to decorate the top of the tag die-cuts.
Finally, I added machine stitching around the edge of the base cardstock (Independence Blue), and in between the diamonds of the ‘Congratulations’ paper in the background. This page is full of so much texture, color, and dimension — I LOVE it!
