Hi, there! I’m Jana Eubank. Today I’m sharing a layout incorporating the August Bicycle Cut File.

SPECIAL DELIVERY

Did you ever watch Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood as a child? On that program, there was a bicycle delivery service called Mr. McFeely’s Speedy Delivery. I was always so curious to see what Mr. McFeely was bringing Mr. Rogers and thought of him while creating this layout.

My daughter called me from college early in her second year. Her college is only an hour away from our home and she knew that I was coming to town on another errand. She was missing home and asked me if I could bring her a jar of homemade strawberry jam from our freezer. I think she was missing the comforts of home, and this was a small way for her to bring a bit of home with her to her dorm room. Of course, I obliged!

The strawberry icons throughout the August Hip Kits were perfect for this photo, and I thought the bicycle cut file would be a fun way to document this speedy and ‘Special Delivery.’

I used a combination of cardstock, chipboard, and manual die-cuts to accent the title. The title is created using the puffy letter stickers from the February 2023 Main Kit and the June Taylor Alphabet die.

I cut out the bicycle cut file twice from black and white cardstock. I trimmed the bike frame from the white cardstock then used the Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide Ink from the August Color Kit to color the frame. Finally, I added chipboard circles (Main Kit) and circle ephemera shapes (Pocket Life Kit) to accent the wheels. CUTE!

I used the August Bright Floral Die to create mini flower accents around the page. I also die-cut scallop borders (June Scallop Border Die) to accent the right side of the photo as well as the bottom of the page.

The result is a cheerful layout documenting a ‘slice’ of our daily life. Thanks for checking out my page today! See you next time!
