Hello Hip Kit friends !

 

It’s Sophie back on the blog today !

 

I am sharing a beautiful and bright page created with the August 2023 Hip Kits !

 

 

I also used a subscriber’s cut file from August named « Limonade » !

 

 

It is a free cut file if you are a subscriber, but now you can also purchase it if you are not!

 

I started my page with a thick white Cardstock and applied a mix of the two Distress Oxide inks that are in the August Color kit:Tim Holtz – Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide and Tim Holtz – Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide with a dry brush. I also created a few splatters with a mix of these inks and water. 

 

I cut the cut file on a white Cardstock and copied and paste many leaves and flowers from it that I used to embellish the page.

 

I backed the cut file with some coloured Cardstocks from the August 2023 Cardstock kit, and placed it a little bit crooked on the left side of my colourful photo. 

 

 

I also added three horizontal layers of patterned papers (August 2023 Paper kit) at the base of my layout to ground my photo and cut file, and machine stitched on each patterned paper with white thread. 

 

Finally, I embellished the layout with several die cuts and Cardstock stickers from the August Main kit and Embellishment kit.

I adore the brightness of the color palette from the August kits !! Looks like summer will never end !!
