Hi friend. Have you tried the Hip Kit Club exclusive dies yet? These high-quality dies are a great investment and so versatile! Today, I have a used the Honeycomb die not only as a die, but also used it as a stencil to add depth to my embellishment cluster.
The August kits are so stunning – their vibrant colours and elements inspired me to make a really eye-catching border.
I die-cut the honeycomb design using the green card from the Cardstock kit. Before using the honeycomb pieces in a traditional manner, I blended ink through the reverse side onto white cardstock. I always blend from the edge outwards so the edges are soft.
I used Squeezed Lemonade and Saltwater Taffy (Color Kit) to make a pretty but subtle background.
I fussy cut flowers and leaves from the patterned paper and mixed them in with die-cut and chipboard pieces (Main kit and Embellishment kit). I snipped the honeycomb pieces and tucked them between the layers for more depth.
The acetate hearts from the Embellishment kit are so stunning! I layered a few in the border and love the way you can see the layers through the translucent hearts.

I hope I have inspired you to try out the very versatile Honeycomb die.
Thank you so much for stopping by.
