Hello there! Jana Eubank back to share another layout using the July 2023 Hip Kits featuring the exclusive ‘Summer Is Here’ collection. I wanted to challenge myself to use the 6×8 papers to create a 12×12 layout, so today I’ll be using the July 2023 Pocket Life Kit along with the Cardstock Kit, Embellishment Kit, and Tropical Layered Flower die. Let’s get started!
I began by creating a background for my page using the chevron-patterned side of the Sunshine Yellow cardstock (Cardstock Kit). I then matted the largest photo with the coral dot 6×8 paper (Pocket Life Kit) and then added three more blocks of 6×8 patterned papers to the right in the following order: 2.25″ green floral, 1.25″ yellow wave, 2″ coral messy grid.

Next, I fussy-cut three Polaroid frames from the Pocket Life cards and placed photos behind each one. I adhered these across the bottom of the 6×8 paper blocks in a staggered line. – I also cut out a journal block from one of the 3×4 Pocket Life cards, tucking it behind the Polaroid photos in between the green floral and yellow waves papers.
Above the journal block is my FAVORITE part of this page! I had so much fun using the Tropical Layered Flower die to create these flowers with the cardstock. To add additional detail to the flower, I die-cut two layers of the large floral, then used pinking shears to trim the petals of the top layer. They turned out so CUTE accented with the vellum leaf die-cuts from the Embellishment Kit.
All of the smaller cardstock die-cuts are from the Pocket Life Kit and were cut out using the Pocket Life Style 1 and Pocket Life Style 3 metal dies. I stamped the ‘Today’s Adventure’ phrase (July 2023 Pocket Life Stamp) on the yellow label, then added accents of more vellum leaves and tiny die-cut (Tropical Flower Die). I created the center for each flower using the ‘Lemon Twist’ Nuvo Dream Drops from the April 2023 Color Kit.
I couldn’t resist creating another floral cluster to the right side of the page, this time using the floral die-cuts from the Embellishment Kit. I bent each petal of the flowers with my fingers and adhered them to the page with thin foam tape for added dimension.
Flowers are my favorite thing to add to a scrapbook page and I love the tropical flair they added to this layout.
