Hi everyone, Anke here with a new mixed media layout inspiration. It’s my first layout with the gorgeous July Hip Kits. I created a layout using the shell stencil and the Magical Powder, which are included in the July Color Kit and I also incorporated stamps.

 

 

I started with the mixed media part. Therefore I applied modeling paste on white cardstock using the shell stencil. While the paste was drying I colored two pieces of tulle, which I cut from a fly screen with the “Dip a Toe Teal” Magical Powder, which is also included in the July Color Kit.I applied a bit of the powder on a glass mat (foil would also work), added water and the tulle. I wanted a light blue color so I added water until I got the shade I wanted. When the tulle was dry I placed it on my layout.

 

 

Then I cut off a piece of the “Hip Kit Club Exclusive – Summer is Here – Beach” paper. The wave design was perfect for my layout background. Instead of using the paper as it was, I cut it into four strips and layered these. I bent the edges with my fingers to add dimension.

 

 

I cut out some clouds and birds from white cardstock using the “May 2023 Cloud Metal Die Set”. I arranged them on my page combined with a blue cloud die cut from the “Summer is Here – Cardstock Ephemera ” pack, which is included in the July Main Kit and a sun sticker from the “Summer is Here – Layered Dimensional Shapes” pack, which is also included in the July Main Kit.

 

 

I wanted to have an embellishment cluster in the upper left corner of my wave background, so I picked out  some leaf die cuts from the “Cardstock Ephemera” pack and the “Vellum Die Cuts” pack, which is included in the July Embellishment Kit. I also added two floral die cuts from the “Summer is Here – Cardstock Floral & Tag Die Cuts” pack and two chipboard die cuts – all included in the July Embellishment Kit.

 

 

I framed my photo with a chipboard frame and then I picked out some die cuts and arranged them on both sides of the photo combined with vellum leaves and more chipboard stickers.

 

 

I also added some puffy stickers from the “Summer is Here – Mini Puffy Shape Stickers” pack which is included in the July Embellishment Kit.

 

 

I was asked to incorporate stamps, so I took the “July 2023 Pocket Life Stamp Set”, chose some stamps an stamped on white cardstock. Then I fussy cut the stamped words and images and arranged them on my layout.

 

 

I chose more embellishments like two wave stickers from the “Summer is Here – Puffy Shape Stickers” pack and one of the “Laser Cut Acrylic Shapes” – both included in the July Main Kit.

 

 

I also added a flower from the “Layered Dimensional Shapes” pack, which you can also find in the July Main Kit.

 

 

I finished with another cloud die cut, a chipboard sticker, a word die cut and some Nuvo Drops from my stash.
