Hello Hip Kit friends, Anke here with a new layout inspiration for Hip Kit Club featuring the June 2023 Hip Kits. I show you, how I added beautiful mixed media accents to my layout using the “Gold Metallic Acrylic Paint”, which is included in the June Color Kit and the “June 2023 IKAT Layered Stamp Set“.

 

 

I started with creating the background of my layout. Therefore I used the diamond shaped “IKAT Layered  Clear Stamp Set” and the “Gold Metallic Acrylic Paint”, which is included in the June Color Kit. I poured a bit of the acrylic paint on a sheet of foil and then I used a brayer to spread the paint and apply it on the stamp. Then I stamped on white cardstock. If you stamp with acrylic paint it is important to clean the stamps and tools immediately after using them. Otherwise the paint dries and can’t be removed anymore. When the color was dry I cut the diamonds out and layered them. I used foam pads to add dimension.

 

 

Then I took the “Hip Kit Club Exclusive – Free Spirit – Let’s Go Walking” paper, which has also a diamond pattern and cut out some of these diamonds. Finally I fussy cut flowers from the “Free Spirit – Nature Lover” paper.

 

 

Then I started with my layout. I arranged the stamped and the fussy cut diamonds on my cardstock and added my photo and the fussy cut flowers.

 

 

I also picked out some of the chipboard die cuts, which are included in the June Embellishment Kit and some die cuts from the “Free Spirit Ephemera” pack, which you can find in the June Main Kit.

 

 

I wanted to have some hand stitched elements on my layout. So I pierced holes and stitched around the diamonds.

 

 

Then I added the title, which is a sticker from the “Free Spirit – Sticker Book”, which is included in the June Embellishment Kit. I glued the sticker on white cardstock, cut it out and placed it underneath my photo. I added more fussy cut flowers and some small flowers from the “Free Spirit – Floral Die Cuts” pack, which you can also find in the June Embellishment Kit.

 

 

Finally I completed my title with some of the yellow mini alphabet stickers from the “Free Spirit – Sticker Book” and added some Nuvo Drops from my stash.

 

 

My layout is finished and I love all these different textures and the dimension. I hope, you like it too and feel inspired to add some mixed media accents to your next project.
