Hi everyone, Anke here sharing a new layout inspiration featuring the March 2023 Hip Kits. I was asked to incorporate stamps and ink pads, so I used the stamps and ink pads which are included in the March Color Kit, the green one which is included in the March Pocket Life Kit and the pink and the orange pads from the February Color Kit.
There are many ways to use stamps and ink pads. I used them for painting flowers and creating the background of my layout. I started with fussy cutting flowers from the Hip Kit Club Exclusive – “Harmony – Write a Letter and Impressions” paper. Then I colored them. I applied Ink on an acrylic block and then I took it off with my paint brush and painted the flowers. For the first layer I used more water and just a bit of the ink and let it dry. Then I added a second layer using more ink and less water to get a darker shade of the color.
Finally I added a bit of orange to the center of each yellow flower and added some yellow accents to the orange flowers. The pink flowers got some purple accents. I made a process video, where you can watch me coloring the flowers. You can find the link at the end of this post. Then I cut out two flowers from white cardstock using the “March 2023 Pretty Floral Metal Die” and backed them with vellum.
Then I could start with my layout. I chose one of the pockets of the “Pinkfresh Studio – Chrysanthemum – Journaling Bits” pack, which is included in the March Embellishment Kit and placed it on my page. I added the flowers and arranged everything. Behind the pocket I placed a tag.
I framed my photo using one of the “Pinkfresh Studio – Chrysanthemum – Chipboard Frames “, which are also included in the March Embellishment Kit and I added some die cuts from the “Chrysanthemum – Ephemera” pack, which you can find In the March Main Kit.
Then I created the background of my layout. Therefore I used the exclusive stamp set, which is included in the March Color Kit and a black ink pad.
I chose some butterfly stickers from the “Simple Stories – Simple Vintage Life in Blooms – Sticker Book”, glued them on white cardstock and cut them out.
I stitched the Butterfly trails and then I adhered the butterflies and the pocket with the flowers.
I continued embellishing the layout using one of the “Pinkfresh Studio Chipboard Flairs” and two stickers from the “Simple Stories – Life in Bloom – 12×12 Cardstock Sticker Sheet”. Chipboard Flair and Sticker Sheet are included in the March Main Kit.
Finally I added some more fussy cut leaves and Nuvo Drops from my stash.
Here you can see my finished layout. I really like how it turned out and I hope you like it too.
