Hello Hip Kit! How are y’all doing?

Today I have a mixed media layout to share with you!

 

 

I started my project by using the stencil that came with the January color kit with some modeling paste to add texture on a white cardstock. Once it dried, I sprayed the Shimmering Watercolor Mist – Shimmerz – Frost Bite Vibez over it.

 

 

I cut  2 patterned papers – Expectation and Sensational – by ripening it to show the white center. I lightly misted the edges with water to make it curl and show the back.

 

 

I was inspired by the Expectation paper to create the off center circles embellishments. I used my circle metal dies to cut several different sizes and colors of circles.

 

 

I also cut my picture and one Acetate Photo Overlays from the embellishment kit . It’s hard to see on the pic, but you can notice the sprinkles on top!

 

 

Once I had all my main elements in place, I stitched around my layout with matching blue thread to add even more texture.

 

 

The embellishments are mostly ephemeras from both the main kit and the embellishment kit.  I also fussy cut some big flowers from the flower patterned paper.

 

 

I used some buttons and brads from my stash to add some more details . I love the off centered effect!

 

I’m not a big fan of writing journaling,  so the Clear Word Stickers from the pocket life kit comes very handy! the Puffy Shape Stickers are from the same kit.

And last but not least, I used a little bit of Shimmerz – Plum Crazy Inklingz – Shimmering Watercolor from the color kit to sprinkle around the white cardstock.
