It’s Sophie on the blog today with a Mood Board inspired layout and a step by step process!

Here is the Mood Board this month:
The rainbow on the top left image and the overall color scheme of the Board were my starting points.
I used this beautiful HKC Exclusive Kaleidoscope Captivating Paper as the main element on my page. It’s from the January 2022 Main and Paper kit.
I fussy cut each diamond, organized them by color, and placed them in a vertical line as shown here:
Then, I took matching thread for each color and stitched in the center of each diamond.
The DT prompt was to include border punches to our projects, so I selected a few cardstock and patterned papers in the same rainbow colors and punched a few strips with a scalloped punch. I aligned the scalloped strips with the diamonds and sewed them on my layout with a zigzag stitch.
I also curled up the strips for more dimension.
I printed my photo in black and white so that it stands out on this beautiful rainbow background. My title comes from the HKC Exclusive Kaleidoscope Chipboard Phrases (January 2022 Main Kit).
I decorated my page with numerous embellishments from the January 2022 Main kit, Embellishment kit and Pocket Life kit, that I placed on the page, matching the colors of the rainbow. I added plenty of beautiful Kaleidoscope Clear Word Stickers (January Pocket Life kit) throughout the layout and hand wrote my journaling as the finishing touch.
