Happy New year, friends!

It’s Carol here, with a new layout to close up 2021 with a lot of stars!

For this project I decided to use the Bright Stars cut file, that you can find on the CUT FILE area on the website.

I cut only the cluster of stars a couple of times on the cardstocks Powder Blue and Concrete from the Cardstock Kit.  Them I separated the stars, very carefully.

 

 

To make the stars “hanging” on the page, I first positioned all my elements on the white cardstock  and I used just a little bit of removable glue on the center of the stars so it doesn’t move around. That way i could trace very lightly with a pencil where i would sew with grey thread..

 

 

I used the tags from December 2021 Pocket Kit to frame my picture creating a cluster. I also hanged it with white twine  and some beads from my stash, creating a unit with the hanging stars.

 

 

For the title I used 2 cards from the Pocket Kit cut in half and and attached with tape on the back to make the long stripe. You barely can see the seam!

The numbers 2021 are from the same kit, but i added some sparkle on it using Glittery Texture Paste from the December 2021 Color Kit.  “Year in review” is  Chipboard Shape Stickers from December 2021 Embellishment Kit.

 

 

Finally, I added some  extra embellishments to my layout. Even though this kit theme is “Winter”, it’s so versatile that i was able to find neutral elements to mach my layout.
