It’s Maartje here and today I’m sharing a layout that I created for Weekly challenge Friday.
I’m using the September 2021 Hip Kits.
I worked with the amazing mood board designed by the lovely Rebecca.
One of the images on the mood board caught my eye immediately; the basket with the apples.
I also liked to incorporate the flowers somewhere.

On the image with the apples, there is a wooden fence in the background.
I used one of the design papers to create the same shape. I distressed all the edges to give it some dimension.
The apples are falling out of the basket. I tried to do the same with the photo.
Instead of a basket, I’m using one of the fabric pockets from the main kit. This way, it looks like my photo is just coming out of the pocket.
Of course I couldn’t resist to fussy cut some of the gorgeous apples, from the HKC exclusive papers from the main kit. The colors are perfect for a autumn layout. I put some of the clear leave stickers behind the apples to add some dept.
On top of the pocket, I used one the Pink Fresh Studio flowers from the embellishment kit. I think they look amazing! I’m gonna have lots of fun with those!
For my title I used one of the chipboard circles from Pinkfresh Studio and the large blue alpha from the main kit. Hello fall, we meet again! I didn’t need to write any journaling, because the clear word stickers had all the journaling I needed.
I added some white and blue splashes to finish the layout. I really like working with a mood board. It can be inspiring in so many ways.
