Weekly Challenge Friday

Hello everyone, Julie here with you today sharing my layout for the weekly challenge. It was a recipe to use layers, flowers & stencilling & a DT prompt to integrate multiple photos in a creative way.

 

 

I’m working with the August 2021 Main kit, August 2021 Color kit, August 2021 Embellishment kit, August 2021 Pocket Life kit & August 2021 Cardstock kit.

 

 

I began my page by adding some of the inks, through the stencil, onto my white background cardstock. By mixing the inks, Be Mine & Limoncello,  you can get lots of different colors & shades, not just the 3 in the kit. I added some splatters in white & some with the Something Borrowed (blue) ink. My focus then was how it add multiple photos in a creative way!!! I chose to do this by making a small flip out with some of the navy cardstock, cutting it 3 times longer than my photos & scoring between, adding the photos & only adhering the bottom 3rd so that way the top two 3rds flip out.

 

 

Now the fun bit, to build & embellish my page. I added strips, from the patterned papers, to the top & bottom of my page & machine sewed them down for added texture. I then fussy cut some flowers, off the Vicki Boutin Color Study ‘ Floral Study’ paper & dotted them in 3 clusters around the page, adding in ephemera from the exclusive Collect Memories die cut pieces, stickers from the Vicki Boutin Color Study & chipboard from the Simple Stories Sunkissed range.

 

 

My title is a mix of the banner out the Simple Stories chipboard stickers, the thickers from the Pocket Life kit & the foam alphas out the Embellishment kit.I added these towards the bottom of the layout mixed in with a few more chipboard stickers.
