Cut File Tuesday

Hi Friends! Andrea here with a new layout featuring the July 2021 Hip Kits. I used the July 2021 Fun Sunny Day cut file designed by Kim Watson to create a large fun title for this interactive page. I added three photos of a recent family hike and hid my journaling in two different spots.

 

I started by enlarging and editing the original cut file to use only the words FUN and DAY. I backed them using one of my favorite patterned papers from the Main Kit. I used a white piece of cardstock for my background and use yellow patterned paper and blue cardstock to create a double border. I added machine stitching details around the edges of the white cardstock.

 

 

I chose three 3×3” photos and glued them together to a piece of blue cardstock from the Cardstock Kit. I added double-sided tape on the long sides and the center of the cardstock piece in order to create two pockets I would eventually use to hide my journaling. I place the photos in the center of the page. I then added adhesive foam to the back of the cut files and placed them above and below the photos creating some kind of frame. I used the big Summer foam sticker from the Main Kit to complete my title.

 

 

I decorated the page with some fussy cut flowers and leaves from different patterned papers, added a few enamel dots, and a couple of butterflies. A tiny puffy sticker from the Pocket Life Kit and a cardstock butterfly on the top right corner from the Embellishment Kit. I used the B side of a couple of tags from the Pocket Life Kit to write my journaling.
