MOOD BOARD INSPIRED – LA LA LOVE YA – by Anke Kramer

Hi everyone, Anke here sharing a layout , based on  the June Mood Board, designed by Kerstin Scheidler.  I love the color scheme  – blue, green and yellow – and the floral elements. For my layout I used the May Hip Kits.

I wanted to create a garden scene, so I cut green and blue strips from the Pinkfresh Studio – Keeping it Real – Sown Paper.  I cut some green fringe borders and sewed them on my page, three borders in the middle of the page and a shorter one at the bottom. Then I placed two light blue paper strips above the green fringe borders.

I added my photo which I layered with a Pocket Life Card. Then I chose one of the May cut files, the flower, cut two of them from white cardstock and backed them with pieces of the Pinkfresh Studio – Keeping it Real – Sown Paper. I placed one flower on each side of my photo.

For my title I chose another cut file, which I also backed with the Pinkfresh Studio paper.

I added some of the Paige Evans  Wonders flower and butterfly die cuts, which are included in the May Embellishment Kit and some of the Wonders stickers, which you can find in the May Pocket Life Kit. I glued the stickers on white cardstock and cut them out so I could use them like die cuts.

Then I cut out some phrases from the Jen Hadfield – Reaching Out – Stick Together Paper. I like to add dimension to my layouts, so I often use foam pads to adhere die cuts or stickers.

I continued embellishing my layout with some puffy stickers (included in the May Embellishment Kit) and the cute little bee from the Jen Hadfield cardstock stickers pack, which you can find in the May Main Kit. Finally I added some of the Pinkfresh Studio – Keeping it Real  enamel dots. These are included in the May Pocket Life Kit.

I’m really happy with how my layout turned out. I hope you like it too and feel inspired to create a project based on the beautiful mood board.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Anke xx
