3 CARDS | Sophie Delorme | May 2021 kits

Hello Hip Kit friends !

It’s Sophie on the blog today with three cards to share.

This week is « No Pink week » ! So I had the difficult task to create my cards without a single pink element !

Here is a little step-by-step process. Everything used for these cards comes from the beautiful May 2021 kits.

For my first card, I cut a 4×6 rectangle out of the Pinkfresh Studio Keeping it Real A little Chaos Paper as my base. I used a Pocket Life card and a piece of  the Amy Tangerine Brave & Bold Take Note Paper. I cut a fringe out of the Bazzill Patina Cardstock to mimic grass and stitched them together with yellow thread.

I decorated the card with beautiful Jen Hadfield Reaching Out Cardstock Stickers, enamel dots and added Pinkfresh Studio Keeping it Real Teal Puffy Alphabet Stickers to write my « Hello ! »

For my second card, I played with my fringe scissors that I haven’t used for a while !

I cut a 4×6 piece of Bazzill Patina Cardstock for my base. On the right side, I sticked down this beautiful cell phone that comes from the Jen Hadfield Reaching Out Phrase Thickers (Embellishement kit) on a floral Pocket Life card and decorated it with die cuts and heart stickers.

On the left side of the card, I cut a few strips of patterned papers: Obed Marshall Buenoz Diaz Vamanoz Paper, Pinkfresh Studio Big Mood Paper, a Pocket Life card and Bazzill Pollen Cardstock and created some fringes with my fringe scissors. I stitched them down one by one with yellow thread. I love the festive look that it creates !

For my third card,  I used the Pinkfresh Studio A little Chaos Paper as my base again. I selected another Pocket Life card in the same color palette, as well as a piece of the Amy Tangerine Brave & Bold Take Note Paper.

I backed the Pinkfresh Studio patterned paper with a piece of Bazzill Jetstream Cardstock, I machine stitched around the base of my card, and did a zigzag stitch on the top of the Pocket Life card.

I added words cut out of the Jen Hadfield Stick Together Paper and a Pinkfresh Die cut, as well as the Jen Hadfield Phrase Thicker « Happy Birthday ».

Finally, I embellished that card with a colourful peacock and a little butterfly (both from the Jen Hadfield Cardstock Stickers from the Main kit).

Here are other close-ups.

These cards are simple and a good way to use your leftovers from the kits !

I hope that I could inspire you, have a great weekend !

Sophie xx
