Hello Hip Kit friends !
It’s Sophie here on the blog today with a little step by step process for my page using the October 2020 kits !
Looking for card making supplies? Browse our monthly kits - each one includes coordinated papers, stamps, and embellishments perfect for handmade cards.

My assignment for today was to focus on the beautiful Simple Stories Decorative Brads that come in the October Pocket Life kit.

I had another beautiful Fall photo to use so the October kits were just the perfect match for that !
I started with a white cardstock on which I cut out about 1 inch on two sides to stick it down to the Bazzill – Beeswax Cardstock (Cardstock kit). It creates a nice border all around my page. I stitched around the border with yellow thread.

I also added just a few splatters of the Lindy’s Stamp Gang – Marigold Yellow – Magical Shimmering Watercolor (October Color kit) diluted in water.

I used a Simple Stories – Cozy Days – Chipboard Frame (October main kit) on which I placed my photo that I previously backed with tissue paper, adhesive foam and one layer of Amy Tangerine Late Afternoon – Winding Down paper. (October paper kit).
Here is what I planned to use on my page…!

I created a cluster of embellishments that includes many Decorative Brads, some fussy cut flowers and leaves out of patterned papers, chipboard and sticker pumpkins.
I used a tag cut out of the Simple Stories – Cozy Days Tag Paper (October Paper kit) for my journaling, and scattered brads and leaves in a diagonal line from the floral cluster to the right lower side of the tag.

Finally, I placed a beautiful banner from the Simple Stories – Cozy Days – Chipboard Stickers on the top right corner of the photo and stamped the date.

Here are more close-ups;

So I hope you felt inspire today, feel free to comment !
Thank you for passing by,
Until next time,
Sophie xx
