I am very happy to be here on the HIP KIT blog for the very first time with my latest project.
For which I used the beautiful and colorful August Kits. When I started this layout I was thinking about how much mixed media parts has to be in a mixed media layout, and do I have to make a mixed media background? No, simply no. Because I think, here are now rules, how much Mixed media parts has to be in a layout.
I have decided to use a exklusive cutfile from this month and create with some watercolors the mixed media part of this layout. Therefore I painted the three flowers of the cutfile with three different colors and added some gold shimmer on the leaves.

I am really happy about the result.
For the rest of the layout I used my scissor and I cutted out some flowers of one the patterend papers from the August Kit. For the background I trimmed the strucured cardstock to the size of 8.5 x 11.5 Inch and backed the rose cardstock with the blue striped paper from the kit.
