Hi Hip Kit Friends! Hope you’re having a fabulous and crafty day!

Amanda here, & I can’t wait to share my latest scrapbook layout with our gorgeous August 2020 Main, Embellishment & Cardstock Kits! I am being totally inspired by this month’s mood board created by our lovely Cristina Sales, but before I get too excited, here’s another look at the September mood board:

 

Sigh! So gorgeous, and girly and dreamy! I just can’t even begin to describe how much I love this! I was immediately swept up by the image of the straws, as well as the sweet color palette and all those pretty florals! Here’s what I crafted,

“Good Times Ahead”

 

Ooooh! So.much.pretty!!! Perfect for my darling daughter!  You can see how the colors in the mood board influenced my layout, but more so, how that fabulous straw and banner combination determined my overall design. So awesome! Let’s take a closer look….

 

 

Absolutely stunning! With so many flowers featured in the mood board, I just couldn’t resist fussy cutting pattern paper, Petal Pushers – it’s such a spectacular paper and those florals are errrything! While I had my snippy scissors handy, I also cut out a large banner using the pretty Petalsoft Bazzill cardstock and trimmed 1 inch off the side of the White Bazzill cardstock too. (Both courtesy of the August Cardstock Kit).I centered the white cardstock over the B side of pattern paper Wild Thing, and then machine stitched it into place. I also machine stitched around the edges of my pink card banner.

 

 

I adhered my photo to the banner, and then used one of the fabulous Simple Stories Chipboard Stickers for my overlaying title. I really love those sweet chippies, and use a few more of the floral ones around my layout as well. With my banner prepared, I then attached all the petal pusher flowers around the edges. SO gorjus!!!!

 

 

For added emphasis, and dimension, I foam mounted the floral photo banner to my white card base before continuing to embellish around it. For finishing touches I added a few stamped hearts with the Awesome Life stamp, and a good scattering of the Midnight Blue Nuvo Drops from the August 2020 Main Kit. Super simple, and really sweet!
