Hi Hip Kit Friends! This is my very first blog post for Hip Kit Club and I can’t describe how excited I am. Today I am sharing a layout I created using one of the August 2020 Subscriber Cut Files and August 2020 Kits.

I modified the cut file in my Silhouette Studio and removed the word “play” as I wanted my title to say “Keep Calm and Be Happy”. I created an interesting effect by applying various shades of blue watercolor to both top and bottom of the cut file. I cut two of the cut file words using the exclusive patterned papers and mounted them with foam adhesive for more dimension.
I created a mixed media background with aqua watercolor and placed the cut file almost to the center of my layout. I tucked two photos of my son climbing a tree under the cut file.
Then I added the last part of my title – a beautiful exclusive chipboard sticker with a rainbow.
I used quite a few of the cute clouds and other exclusive ephemera together with chipboard stickers from both Main and Embellishment kits to embellish my layout. I also peeled off some of the Simple Stories decorative brads tops and used them as stickers here and there.
I finished my process with framing the layout using the exclusive yellow patterned paper and adding a few gold splatters.
