Hello Scrappy Friends! It’s Scrap Lift Challenge, and I’m here with a new layout that I have created with our June 2020 Hip Kits. I love all of the colors of this kit and I was particularly inspired by very the pretty rainbow paper
“Hope For A New Day” from Pinkfresh Studio “Lets Stay Home” Collection that you can find at June 2020 Main Kit and June 2020 Paper Kit. And in my opinion this paper is similar to the composition of the page that we need to lift.
I love to make interesting background, so for my idea I chose two similar “Hope For A New Day” paper. From one paper I cut out the “rainbow stripes” and the purple and pink elements on the left and right sides. Next step: Using cardboard or you can use glue pads (glue foam tape) I glued cut out elements to the second scrapbook paper, repeating paper pattern. Thus, we create 3-effect, you can also distress paper to create an authentic paper look.
According to the page that we are lifting, I have placed the photos around which I will build a composition similar to the given one. For decor I used “flowers” from Pinkfresh Studio – Let’s Stay Home – Ephemera, “houses” from HKC Exclusive – Homemade Memories – Vellum Die Cuts (June Main 2020 Kit), some sentiments and frame from HKC Exclusive – Homemade Memories – Frame & Tag Die Cuts (June 2020 Pocket Life Kit) and also many die cuts from HKC Exclusive – Homemade Memories – Mixed Die Cuts (June 2020 Embellishment Kit).
All the elements on this page for a reason. These photographs of my boys were taken at my grandmother’s in the village, far from the bustle of the city. We maintain social distance and take care of our grandparents and therefore observe strict self-isolation. During self-isolation, the boys became very close friends and fell in love with the house of their great-grandmother and great-grandfather. Delicious homemade food, outdoor games, long weeks, but still, summer is already quietly ending. This June Kit, an exclusive collection from the Hip Kit Club and Pink Fresh Studio perfectly captures the atmosphere of the current situation in which we, all people, find ourselves.
Flowers on the page symbolize grandmother’s garden, houses are neighbors’ houses, clouds and a rainbow that pleases us after a blind rain. Use glue pads, build layers, experiment to get the desired 3D effect and create your summer scene! To simulate rain, I decided to add some spray with white gesso and some water.
Make sure you visit the Hip Kit Club website to grab your June Kits, they are really amazing and selling out so quickly!
