Mood Board Inspired Layout – Anke Kramer

Hi everyone , Anke here with you. Today I’m sharing a layout inspired by the beautiful July Mood Board created by Marinette. My June Kits were still on their way when I made this layout so I used the May Kits.

I love the colors and the watercolor elements of the mood board so I took my paint brush and painted a piece of cardstock with yellow, orange and red watercolors. Then I added a layer of modeling paste using one of the Vicki Boutin stencils which are included in the May Color Kit.

Once the paste was dry I cut the cardstock in three pieces and placed them on my page combined with pieces of the The Stamp Market – Miss Modern – Citron Green Geometric Paper. Then  I fussy cut two  flowers from the The Stamp Market – Miss Modern – Large Floral Paper and added them to the upper left and the bottom right corner of my layout.

I placed my photo and embellished it with a floral wreath which I fussy cut from one of the cards which are included in the May Pocket Life Kit. I also added one of the Amy Tangerine  – Picnic in the Park – Dimensional Bows which you can find in the May Embellishment Kit.

I also fussy cut  some butterflies and the title and picked out some stickers and die cuts.

To add more dimension I layered the butterflies and used a foam pad to adhere the “hello sunshine” die cut.

Finally I added black color splatters and some yellow and orange sequins.

I had so much fun making  this layout and I hope you feel inspired to create a mood board based project too.

Thanks for stopping by today.
