Mood board Inspired Layout | Erica Thompson

Hey friends! Erica here today to share a mood board inspired layout with you today. I am also going to be using one of my large border punches and the June 2020 Hip Kits.

I used the Kind Hearts 12×12 pattern paper from Pinkfresh Studio included in the June 2020 kit  to punch out some borders with my paper punch. Once all my borders were cut I used my scissors to cut apart each scallop so I can place them closer together and layer them up vertically on my page. I adhered down with some adhesive and added a couple thin strips of pattern paper to the left .

I really loved the colors in the July mood board so I pulled a lot of yellow and oranges from the papers and embellishments. I used some inks from my stash to add some splatters to my white cardstock background.  I added a few layers behind my photo of my daughter and my niece walking along the river.

I took a couple of the scallop pieces I cut and added one to each corner on the right side of my layout to help tie everything together. We had such a fun and relaxing day so the relaxing die cut was the perfect title for this layout! To finish off my layout I added a few enamel dots  and my typed journaling. Here is a look at my completed layout inspired by the July 2020 mood board.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed my layout using the June 2020 kits.
