Hi everyone and welcome back to the HipKitClub Blog today, Jana back again and i have a fun new Mixed Media Monday Layout for you. I also decided to work with two main colors, pink and blue! I love that combination and the April 2020 Hip Kits are full of these colors.
I started with heavy gesso and the ART Philosophy “blush” watercolor from the April 2020 Color Kit. I mixed both together to get a light pink texture paste which i stroked through the stencil from the color kit. I am scrapping on a 9×12 sized white cardstock and i only added the texture behind my paper and photo cluster.

I also splattered some of the “blush”color around the page and added some blue splatters too. I used the Lindy´s spray “Blue Hawaiian Blue” for them (we got that color a few months ago in a color kit). I really love how the background turned out and i know that i covered up most of the pretty texture paste.
I only used big Die Cuts as layering pieces behind my picture, there is no patterned paper on this layout. I wrapped a thin rubber band around my cluster and tucked the gorgeous rainbow behind it. As you can see, i am scrapping pictures from me wearing some masks. My title is COVID 19 face…
I added the journaling after i took the pictures… the story is about my work and the fact that the old people only know me like that – since the middle of march. They are often telling me that they would love to see my smile again! it´s a hard an difficult time, right?!
I finished my layout with two of these awesome layered Crate Paper butterflies and some dark blue thread underneath them. I also added some little star stickers and a chipboard balloon… i love how this layout turned out and i can´t get enough from the holographic alpha thickers!!
