Mixing Cut Files | Elsie Robinson

Hey HKC fans, it’s Elsie here with a layout using the March 2020 Kits. For today’s project I’ve been challenged to use multiple cut files on my page, which considering how beautiful the March 2020 cut files are, it wasn’t difficult to do!

I used the typewriter cut file as the main focal image on my layout. I cut it from the rosy pink pattern from the Heidi Swapp ‘Daily Doses’ patterned paper and hand-stitched around the entire image to create lots of definition and cuteness!

I also used my knife tool in my software to cut out the bars and knobs from the typewriter from white cardstock. I wanted these to be metallic gold, so I used some gold ink to colour them to make them look like metal!

I used the Pebbles ‘Birdies’ paper to look like the paper coming out of the typewriter. I used this space to write my title using the Picnic In The Park thickers (from the pocket life kit). I love the glittery blue alphas with the pink typewriter, it’s such a cute combo!

For my second cut file, I used the tassel charm. I backed it with teal blue patterned paper and used one of the Crate Paper bows (from the Embellishment Kit) to create a little charm for the typewriter.

To embellish the rest of the layout I used a lot of flowers from the Heidi Swapp ephemera pack (Embellishment Kit) as well as a couple of those cute little animals from the Pebbles ephemera pack (from the Main Kit).
