Hey HKC fans, it’s Elsie here with a layout using the stunning December 2019 kits. For today’s post I was tasked to focus on fussy-cutting and using the Main Kit HKC exclusive ephemera.
I firstly started by my going through the papers and deciding what to fussy-cut. I was immediately drawn to the B side of the Crate Paper Snowflake ‘Marshmallow’ paper which features loads of ephemera pieces, like tickets, tags and journalling cards.

I fussy-cut every single piece and started arranging them on my page in a design that I liked, making sure I had a good balance of colour. I also jazzed up each die-cut with some machine stitching, which added more texture and interest.
To embellish, I added a couple of the vellum star die-cuts and the Prima adhesive gems (from the Main Kit), as well as the Crate Paper paperclips (from the Pocket Life Kit) and the HKC exclusive floral ephemera (from the Embellishment Kit).
And finally, for my title I used one of the die-cuts from the Main Kit ephemera. This black and white title perfectly contrasted with all of the colourful fussy-cut elements.
