Grid Design Cut File Layout | Sophie Delorme

Hello everyone ! It’s Sophie and I am sharing with you my first layout created with the AMAZING December kits !

My assignment this week was to create a grid with a repeated cut file. Hummm, we had plenty of gorgeous choices with the Hip Kit Cut files…! I went with this  Subscriber cut file called Twig Wreath from our design team member Anett Gelencser.

I cut it four times on regular white Cardstock with my cutting machine.

.

Then, I jazzed up my background a little bit. I chose the beautiful Crate Paper patterned paper (paper kit) called Snowcapped and applied white gesso on it.

Then, I used the two Lindy’s Stamp Gang Starbust Magical Shimmering Watercolors from the December color kit called Jana’s Jade and Andrea’s Azalea, mixed them with water and applied them on my background. I also added gold and white splatters with acrylic paint from my stash.

I created a grid design with my 4 wreaths. One for my title, 2 for my photos and one for my journaling.

As you can see on the top left wreath, I also fussy cut out a wreath from the Pocket Life cards so that my title would stand out more. I used a few letters from the Girl Glitter Alphabet Thickers (S&F are for Sabrina and Fiona..!) and from the Crate Paper Copper Foil Phrase & Icon Thickers.

Finally, I embellished my wreaths with plenty of die cuts, chipboard stickers and mixed ephemeras.

How I love that soft, yet very dimensional look ! I hope you do too !

Here are a few close-ups ! I am very glad I had the assignment to use a repeated cut file for my design. I hope it will inspire you to use those gorgeous Hip Kit Cut files in a different way !

Thank you so much for stopping by today, have a great week !

Sophie xx
