Happy 2020 everyone! Corrie here today with my first page of 2020. I was so pumped when I saw that today I was supposed to scraplift one of my fellow design team members. HOW FUN!! Scraplifting is a great way to get those creative juices flowing, especially when you have been vacationing for the holidays and need a little help to get started. The best design team is right here at Hip Kit Club, so picking  someone to scrap lift was difficult, but deep down I knew I wanted to try my hand at lifting Missy. This is her page that really inspired me.

My favorite part of Missy’s pages is how she takes a patterned paper background and makes it totally her own. I have been admiring her world for YEARS, totally jealous of her amazing talent as an artist, so hear was my chance. My “Missy” lifted page…

I gave up my typical white cardstock background for some of the yummy patterned paper in the December 2019 Hip Kits. I added gesso, white paint (with my fingers), and colors from the December 2019 Color Kit using the packaging method. I added some splatters, lots of layered embellishments and thread! This was so fun to create that I showed my kids the background before anything was on it and waited for their admiration. Ha!

Anyway, in case you are worried about scrap lifting someone, don’t be! Do it and tag them and share it with everyone. Inspire and be inspired. It’s fun!
