A November Mood Board Layout in Bold Pink

Cristina describes herself as pink addicted, so when the November mood board landed in her favorite palette, she went all in. This layout pairs a dark watercolor base with bright flamingo cardstock punched into flower shapes – high contrast, lots of texture, and unapologetically pink.

Hi lovely people Cristina here today to share with you the latest project I created with some of the October kits by Hip Kit Club. I followed the November mood board made by our lovely designer Lauren Hender. I’m a pink addicted so this combo colors is really my favorite one and I was so happy to have it for my assignement.

Thanks to the varied range of the various kits I was able to choose many elements and decorations to realize what I wanted.
I started with a watercolor base made with a very dark color, black, to create a strong contrast with the white bazzill, find it in the cardstock kit.

The exclusives signed by Hip Kit Club are really amazing and those puffy sticker words are so special and the right chose to make title for my page but also for many other projects as mini album, cards, gift boxes and so on.

The flamingo bazzill was exactly the right color to create a contrast with the dark base so I cut it with a flower-shaped punch and made a real flowery meadow all around the photo.IMG_E2244

This mixed media page would not have been complete without some splash all around the composition so I used a pink pigment mixed up with water to make drops using a watercolor brush.

Chipboard stickers are one of my favorite embellishments because they are very thick to create a 3d effect.

I finally completed my composition making some stamps with different colors, black and pink, in the embellishment kit there was a really love clear stamps I used to make stamps also on the flowers and all over the page.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you like my project and I can’t wait to see what you’ll make following the same mood board. Please share what you make with us in the Hip Kit club facebook member forum.

See you xxx.

Techniques from This November Mood Board Page

  • The black watercolor base against white Bazzill creates strong contrast that makes the pink elements punch even harder.
  • Cristina used a circle punch to cut flamingo cardstock into flower shapes, then scattered them around the photo like a meadow. Simple tool, big visual impact.
  • Pink pigment mixed with water becomes splashes and drops across the page – quick mixed media that adds energy without needing special supplies.
  • Chipboard stickers give a 3D effect that flat die cuts and paper cannot. Cristina stacked them over her painted areas for extra depth.
  • Clear stamps in both black and pink ink tie the color scheme together across different sections of the layout.
