Main kit Fun ! | Sophie Delorme

Hello everyone ! It’s Sophie here and I am very excited to share with you this layout created with the August 2019 main kit.

I haven’t done a wreath design for a while so I had the idea to try one out today ! I started with selecting my photo and a few embellishments from the August main kit, especially those gorgeous frames designed by Kim Watson from Pretty Little Studio. I planned on doing a lot of fussy cutting out of the two Pink Paislee Truly Grateful patterned paper no. 5 and 15, and was inspired by this little ephemera “All we need is each other” for my title and as a guide for my color scheme.

I also wanted to add a lot of leaves and decided to create a few of my own, in a very simple way, with watercolor to match the colors on my page.

I then fussy cut them out and arranged them around the wreath but mostly organised in clusters around my photo and frames.

I wrote my journaling in one oval frame on the left side of the layout and added a beautiful sun in the square frame above my photo.

I also added numerous Pink Paislee puffy sticker dots around my wreath, as well as a few gold splatters here and there.

Finally, I fussy cut a cute butterfly out of paper no 5 and did some doodeling to trace its course with a black pen, trying to mimic the little swirls of the frames.
