Hello Everyone! Happy Monday! Martina here with a Mixed Media Layout using the absolutely gorgeous August 2019 Hip Kits.
At the very beginning of my creating process, I have cut the HKC “Fresh Start” August Cut File from the Pink Paislee – Paige Evans Truly Grateful – Paper #6.
Since I had another title in mind, I just cut off the “fresh start” with my scissors.
To back the cutfile, I applied some white Gesso onto a piece of white cardstock. Afther that hast been dried, I mixed some of the “Golden Sleigh Bells” Magical (August 2019 Color Kit) with water and just painted it onto the gessoed surface.
In the drying time of the yellow Magical, I have randomly stamped (yes! There are Exclusive Hip Kit Club Stamps in the August Color Kit!!) some “happy”s onto a sheet of Bazzil – Arroyo – Cardstock. I also added some more Gesso over the already stamped background, to get an appropriate underlay for some more Magical (This time Ramblin’ Rose Pink).
To add even more texture and interest, I have applied some white texture paste though one of the Vicky Boutin Stencils which are also part of the August 2019 Color Kit.
After that has been dried, I just glued the cut file on its Mixed Media backing.
As a first step in the final arranging process, I have matted my selfie with a ripped piece of Bazzill – Lemonade Cardstock and backed the cut file and the selfie with foam tape to rise it from the background.
Then I started to play with Pink Paislee – Paige Evans Truly Grateful – Phrase Thickers and Mixed Ephemera which are all included in the August 2019 Main Kits. It was a real pleasure to arrange these pits and pieces around the Mixed Media Cut File.
Wonderfully – the Vicki Boutin – Butterfly Layered Stickers matched the colors and the theme just perfectly!
As a very last step, I slipped in the big rosé gold “yes” which is also a Paige Evans – Truly Grateful Ephemera and added just that last little extra I have been looking for.
