Hello crafty friends and happy Thursday !

 

It’s Sophie here and I am sharing a layout today for which I mostly used the June 2019 main kit !

 

 

I mixed the Vicki Boutin Kaleidoscope cloudy and blue sky with the Heidi Swapp Color Fresh green striped pattern paper as my background and did a little bit of mixed media with the June color kit and the Lindy’s Stamp Gang Alpine Ice Rose from the May color kit as shown below. Well, it looks like I did cover a lot of my page with mixed media, but at the end, just a little bit of it can be seen…! I think you can never go overboard with splatters of colors in your background !

 

 

I centered my photo and backed it with a few layers of the pattern papers. I cut the inside of one of them to fussy cut the hearts on the other side…just to make sure I preserve as much of this beautiful paper as possible !

 

 

I stitched together a few hearts to add to my design.

 

 

I also fussy cut the American Crafts Vicki Boutin Kaleidoscope ephemera packaging because I love the flowers printed on it and wanted to add them as well as the dotted green background to my layout.

 

 

Then, I just played with the ephemeras, cutting most of the white border around them and arranged them in clusters around my photo. I added my title and journaling, and some stitching here and there as the finishing touch.
