Hello everyone! It’s Christina here with a new layout inspiration, based on this week’s sketch designed by Irit Landgraf.

Here it is:

And this is my take on it, using the June 2019 Main & Embellishment Kit:

As you can see, I stuck to the sketch very closely. I have to admit that first I struggled a little bit with the sketch, as I’m not used to create a certain form or shape (like a sun…), but it felt good to step outside of my comfort zone!

To give the layout my personal twist, I decided no to cut the beams and the center of the sun with a pair of scissors, but tear the papers along a ruler and a plate.

Actually, my plan was to use no scissors at all for this layout, and also to leave the left side of the page completely blank. But in the end, I felt that something was missing, so I fussy cut some hearts and added them to the page.

And as I didn’t have two matching photos on hand, I used just one photo + a journaling card (from the Heidi Swapp Color Fresh Cardstock Stickers) in substitution for the second photo.
