Hey friends! It’s Jung here, and today I’m sharing a layout using the June 2019 Main Kit and Cardstock kit only. I was also challenged to add machine or hand stitching to the background. I was really inspired by the Heidi Swapp black and white pattern paper, so I created my layout around it.
Here is what I created:
I trimmed just a piece of the HS pattern paper, and placed it on white cardstock. I used a ruler to draw lines, finishing off the pattern down my paper. Next, I took the cardstock to my sewing machine and stitched a bunch of black lines filling in where the black stripes would be. I attached the pattern paper to the top of the cardstock with foam squares.
Next, I added my photo, title, and journaling. I used one of the HS journaling stickers for my journaling…I love it when embellishments include journaling stickers/ephemera/tags, because it makes filling in the story so easy!
To embellish my layout, I used a few hearts that I fussy cut from a Vicki Boutin pattern paper. I also used the VB flowers from the embellishment pack, and the VB puffy stickers to embellish my layout. To finish off my layout, I decided to add some stars. I punched out tiny stars from the various cardstock colors we got in the CS kit, and I added some of the stars from the Thickers pack as well.
I love the detailing that the stitching added, and I am thrilled with how my layout turned out! I hope I’ve inspired you. Don’t forget to check out the kits on the Hip Kit Club website!
Thanks for stopping by, and have a lovely day!
