Hey everyone, Corrie here with a new page for you. Since today is Father’s Day here in the U.S. I figured I would make a page about the most important dad in this house, my husband! Plus, I am also using the June mood board as my inspiration AND the June 2019 Hip Kits!! Here is this month’s mood board.

I’ll be honest with you. I took a few hard looks at this mood board and was completely stumped. While I think it is beautiful, it is not my typical colors or vibe. But I was determined to push myself a bit! I like the black and white, especially the funky pattern on the bottom left corner. And then I decided I was going to use some purple on my page, even though I never use purple. Like for real. It is the hardest color for me to use. No idea why. Anyway, this is what I came up with.

I painted black and purple, sort of like the pattern I liked. I added yellow touches here and there. And I felt like it was kind of rocker like with the silver “greatest” and the paint splatters. Because my dear husband does not wear purple very often, none of my photos of him in color worked, so I changed this one into black and white with a high contrast. I feel like it worked really well.

So it ended up totally being out of the box for me, but still, it is fun and “guy” enough for a rocking Father’s Day page. Not to mention, I always love the first page I create with a new month’s kit.
